Why I am at MATC

Hello World!

I am attending Milwaukee Area Technical College this semester.  There are a few reasons for this.  One, because I wanted to be in the IT Network Specialist program.  Two, the degree I am pursuing at MATC will help me in the job market.  Three, MATC is within close proximity of my house.

The first reason is that MATC has the program I want.  Looking at the course catalog, I found this school has the IT Network Specialist program.  I mostly chose this program because I've been working with computers since sixth grade and I've wanted to learn more and more.  Since I learned about basic networking in high school, I thought this would be a perfect fit for me.   So far, I've liked my classes, even though it's only my first semester.

The second reason is that the degree I am pursuing at MATC will help me in the job market.  Past job searches, especially some for another class, have shown me that there is a high demand for network specialists as well as network managers, and many other jobs that relate to this field.  Knowing that there is a high demand makes me want to go to MATC and get my degree even more.

The last reason is that MATC is close to my home.  I live less than five miles away from MATC.  This makes it a very quick drive for me to get there.  This saves me both time and money, which is critical in this day and age.
